bi

i'm not going to complain about gas prices because i know that it is painful enough for everyone as it is, without having to point out that everyday in the past 2 weeks gas has increased 5 cents, or that you would cry if you knew how small of a number my mpg is.

but i will say, check out what i got:

i love it, it's perfect. i am going to cut out the car.

obligatory free bird

even though i am inside 8 hours a day these days, i do have the fortunate experience of facing two grand windows at work, one which faces the whole of utah valley, and the other which faces a tree. in this tree everyday i am seeing more substantial wildlife then i've seen ever seen in utah. combined. these are my favorite birds, i have never seen anything so colorful here.

of angles and angels

hey, what's up. last weekend i went to zions and here are some pictures. we did the angels landing hike, which i was nervous about bc my mom worked at zions one summer in college and has spent her whole life making sure we are aware of the dangers of the angels landing hike. which is that 6 people have fallen off since 1980. well, really it's kind of weird being so near a very steep cliff, but really: the path is practically paved the whole way, there are heavy duty chains on all the hard-ish parts, and there are millions of people doing the hike, include children and new mothers with babies in their backpacks!! not actually multiple babies, just one in one of those carry things.

but it was cool, sorry i didn't tell you i was doing it mom.

it is nice to be so close to all these parks, you will no doubt tire of seeing pictures of these southern utah parks by the end of the summer.
