of angles and angels

hey, what's up. last weekend i went to zions and here are some pictures. we did the angels landing hike, which i was nervous about bc my mom worked at zions one summer in college and has spent her whole life making sure we are aware of the dangers of the angels landing hike. which is that 6 people have fallen off since 1980. well, really it's kind of weird being so near a very steep cliff, but really: the path is practically paved the whole way, there are heavy duty chains on all the hard-ish parts, and there are millions of people doing the hike, include children and new mothers with babies in their backpacks!! not actually multiple babies, just one in one of those carry things.

but it was cool, sorry i didn't tell you i was doing it mom.

it is nice to be so close to all these parks, you will no doubt tire of seeing pictures of these southern utah parks by the end of the summer.

if we are going to go to all the same places this summer we should be going together. you should also add lake tahoe to your list for pioneer day weekend.
if utah is going to give us a fake holiday i am going to take it. also james taylor is playing a concert there, 7/26. so come camping with us since you now speak in "we's"

maybe you have no love for james taylor?

p.s. there was no way i was going to add that book to goodreads.

Thank you for not telling me until afterwards.

I can't believe you hiked up there in flipflops!

I can't believe you leaned over to get that picture of your foot and the road.

I can't believe I'm the only one who's scared spitless by that hike. XOX -- MOM
